A new fund is aimed at linking Welsh arts organisations with digital technology creators, fully funding digital media projects designed to explore new business models or expand audience reach and engagement. The Digital Research and Development Fund for the Arts in Wales will support the arts projects in Wales which use digital technologies, with £400,000 set aside by the Arts Council of Wales, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Nesta.
The Digital R&D Fund for the Arts in Wales will enable arts organisations to partner with digital media and digital technology companies to create a new digital presence. Whether your project is based on social media, fundraising, Big Data Services, archiving or new ways to deliver content, the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts in Wales could help you partner with a technology provider to create a valuable digital resource, fully funded by this new scheme.
The organisers are looking for innovative digital projects from arts organisations, or companies with an arts project in mind, of all sizes in Wales, which will collaborate with technology providers to develop exciting new ways to engage and reach new audiences.
Tradebox Media is one such technology provider. We have plenty of ideas which could see your organisation use the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts in Wales to its full potential, providing enormous value to your organisation and inspiring further innovation with digital technology in the Welsh arts sector.
